Masculine Valentine

Masculine Valentine

Masculine cards are difficult for me. Probably because when I see the new catalogs, I go nuts over all of the froufrou things that I love and then when I sit down to make a card for the male species, I haven’t got any masculine things to work with. I’ve raised girls. I must confess, I love pink stuff. Then I saw this paper. There is nothing pink, delicate or girly about it, but I love it! I think it is great for all kinds of scrapbook projects, as well as masculine and vintage projects. I completed the card with embossed hearts which I cut with our new Framelits and the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit die.

Tomorrow, back to the froufrou!

Saleabration Sneak Peek! Elementary Elegance

Elementary Elegance

I think this paper from the Salebration catalog is my favorite of the exclusive free products we are offering next week. The patterns are smaller and great for cards and they use the bright and cheery new In Colors, but they are slightly distressed so they will work for multiple styles. I love every single one of the designs, too and did I mention, FREE?!! This set is also from the Salebration catalog, it’s called Elementary Elegance. I used the Labels Framelits on just the top and bottom of the card stock piece to frame my image. Sweet and simple stamping.

Happy Stampin!

Take it to Heart

OK, I think I am finally at the point where I can at least manage my recent health issues. In a nutshell, my sensitivity to perfume has grown so extreme that it has to be “managed”. Planning two hours ahead for a run to the post office or grocery store is a stretch for me, but the alternative really cramps my stamping regimen. Needless to say, I find the creative process impossible  when it feels like my head is being used for target and batting practice, simultaneously!

Speaking of changes, it is time for a new mini catalog and Saleabration begins a week from today! Saleabration runs from January 24 to March 31st this year and there are some wonderful FREE products to choose from. I’ll do a separate blog post with all the details this weekend and if you like free stuff, you will definitely want to check back!

Take it to Heart

As usual, Stampin’ Up!  has filled the new Occasions Mini Catalog with exciting new products and wonderful stamp sets. I adore this set called, Take it to Heart. It works for valentines day and beyond and the banner stamp is one of my favorite things from the catalog! I’ll be using this with a lot of my other sets! I love, love, love the ruffled ribbon that I used to frame the image, so pretty. I love the new embossing folders for embossing the edges or just part of your card stock. I was already cutting my folders down to get this effect, but I must admit that is was always a little painful to make that first cut!

New Occasions Mini Catalog

Hello! I love the feeling of a new beginning that comes with each new year. I am glad to leave 2011 behind and I look forward to everything new in 2012. I am still struggling with  sinus issues, so I have finally had to let go of everything I didn’t get to in December and just move on. One of the things I didn’t get to was my box of new goodies from the Occasions Mini Catalog that went live today! I should be able to play in my stamp room tomorrow, so I hope to have something to share. Until then, take a peek at the new mini catalog and a couple of videos that highlight some of our new products. These are two of my favorites, our new Framelits and Edgelits!

Great Gifts using My Digital Studio

The more I play with My Digital Studio, the more I love it. Stampin’ Up! has created some amazing templates that make wonderful gifts or projects to keep for yourself.

The software comes programmed to create several sizes of scrapbook pages, but it also creates cards and calendars and these neat little swatchbooks. They are great to create a mini photo album for a specific event or as a brag book for grandparents, but there are other uses as well!

Rivet Swatch book

This is one I am working on for Aubrey. It is an ABC picture book. Each swatch book has 13 double sided pages, so it is perfect for an alphabet book.

Here are some other great ideas for gifts using the My digital Studio software. You can print these from your own computer or use our professional print services for gorgeous results.

I love these swatchbook templates for creating a wonderful Valentine gift or a coupon booklet.

How about a journal for keeping track of precious memories, stories and milestones?

I LOVE this gorgeous recipe book! What a fabulous way to compile all of those family recipes into a gift!

Playing Catch Up!

Losing three weeks at the beginning of the holidays finally took it’s toll, so I am playing catch up on my posts! This is a great idea for a gift to give away or just keep for yourself. These are pages from a personalized calendar that I created in My Digital Studio. It was so easy because I started with a template and just had to add the photos and do a little tweaking here and there.

Sweet Treats

Everyone loves getting candy treats during the Christmas season. Here are three different options for packaging your sweet treats!

12 gifts of christmas

I used the Petite Pocket die to create this cute little pouch. It really doesn’t get much easier than this for a quick project, and it’s the perfect size for a variety of candies!

12 gifts of christmas

I love our 1 x 8 cello bags for candy gifts. This topper was fun to make using the smaller circle scallop punch. I just snipped apart the layers and added some tiny punched circles for ornaments. Crystal effects was used to make them shine!

Tags till Christmas

Finally, gift number 5 in this series is this fun little box which will hold quite a few candies. It is a six sided box, made using the Milk Carton die! Lots of fun!

Stocking Gift Card

Holiday Stockung Die

This is the second gift, in my gift giving series. It doesn’t get much easier than this. Use the Holiday Stocking die to cut out this adorable stocking, attach a piece of card stock to hold your gift card and assemble as shown. These go together so quickly and make a great presentation for a gift card!

Christmas House Gift Set

Before I give you the details on today’s project, I wanted to tell you that Stampin Up! has packed the Clearance Rack with some amazing deals. Old style punches (and some new) at 40% off and other products  up to 80% off! Go check it out!

12 gifts of Christmas

This is the first project in my 12 gifts of Christmas series. This first gift is a set of all occasion cards, packaged in a Christmas house box! The cards are quick and easy designs and the the box is made by scoring a few lines with the Simply Scored Scoring tool and decorating.

If you look closely, you can see a few sneak peek items from the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog. We have some wonderful new goodies in this one! The embossed hearts come from a new set of embossing folders which includes 3 smaller folders. I cut down embossing folders to get this effect in the past, so I was thrilled to see these in the new mini catalog. The embossed edge on the wave of the baby card is also part of this set. I used the scallop upside down for this card. The blue DSP is cut using a new product called Edgelits! These are dies that cut a decorative edge and they coordinate with the Adorning Accents embossing folders. LOVE!
