Greeting Card Kids

Greeting Card Kids

It’s almost the end of September. The kids have been back at school for a few weeks now. I made this card in honor of fall which officially began last weekend. Someone needs to tell Mother Nature that she’s late to the game.

I used my sweet little Greeting Card Kids and the Storytime DSP for this card. They play together very nicely! I have to admit that after ignoring the 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon for years and years, I am in love with our stitched replacement. I love the look and it is a little more supple, so it’s easy to tie. The apple button is from a big stash of buttons that were my mom’s. I just love incorporating some of her things into my cards, it’s like sending an extra special hug along with the card.

Thanks for looking!

Greeting Card Kids Valentine

Greeting Card Kids

I had to use my sweet little Greeting Card Cutie again for this valentines card. How neat is this embossed border? I love it. This is the new Framed Tulips Textured Impressions folder from the Occasions Mini Catalog. Super Easy card. Of course when you have the right tools, the design process is quick and painless!

Inkspirations Christmas Blog Tour

Welcome to the……

I hope you are enjoying the tour. If you started at the Inkspirations Challenge blog you probably just arrived here from Andreas fabulous blog!.

We are highlighting Christmas gifts on the tour, and so I am continuing with the 12 gifts of Christmas theme that I have been showing on my blog. I’ll be adding gift ideas throughout the weekend and next few days, so feel free to check back for more gifting inspiration.

The first item I have for you (or 5th in my 12 gifts series) is a simple but very festive box that is filled with candy treats. I used the #2 box die and I wanted to mimic a beautifully wrapped gift box. As with all of our dies, these go together very quickly and I simply added a satin ribbon and a quick and easy tag. Any of our die cut boxes or containers are perfect for a candy treat that makes a quick gift for teachers, co-workers, party guests or anyone else you may want to remember with a little something special.

This next item is a tea bag holder. You could use this as a simple little gift or add it as a tag to a special mug, tea pot or box of someone’s favorite specialty tea.

The tea bags are tucked into a stamped glassine bag and tied inside the card.

I printed a fun little poem on the back of the tea bag holder. This would be perfect to tuck into the card of someone dear who won’t be home for the holiday.

Thanks for stopping by!
