Stamp A Stack Selections for April

These are the card  Selections for April’s All Occasion Stamp A Stack. Thursday, April 10th. 6-9 PM at the Bixby Community Center. Your first stack is $7.50 and each stack after that is $5.00 or you may stamp 5 stacks for $25.00. Each stack is 5 cards of one design. You can also choose to stamp one of each design for $10.00. You must RSVP to attend this class and tell me how many stacks of which designs you would like to do. Please call or email 918.304.6247 or belinda@stampinpad.com. Don’t forget to bring your favorite adhesives. I will have some on hand if you need to buy some there.

I’ll also have extra sentiments so that each card can be changed up for other occasions than are shown here. Also you can switch the cupcake paper out for a polkadot background and choose another word bubble. You can’t tell but card number three is embossed in gold and then colored in with blenders or aquapainter. There are dies to cut the flowers and leaves on card 5.

This and That and Rain or Shine

I know that title doesn’t make much sense. I am covering a lot of stuff today! Several new products (a new product line!) and of course a card for you too. I’ll start with our new product line called This and That. These are wonderful little whatever books called smash books. They harken back to the old time scrapbooks which were as much about mementos as they were photos. These little books are so much more, though. You can use them for all kinds of things other than the scrapbook variety.

Use them to keep track of your redecorating or remodeling project. Make a journal to track baby’s first year, or a year in your life. Get organized for Christmas. Track your weight loss. These books are designed for quickly jotting ideas or storing photos, scraps, notes and mementos. Just tuck it in, tape it on, jot it down and smash it closed. Fast and fabulously fun!

I am not sure if you have noticed, but Stampin’ Up!  is making a lot of changes lately. We are rolling out new stamps almost monthly and new products as soon as they become available, rather than waiting for the next catalog transition. I like this, and I love that it allows us to introduce trendy items and stamps almost monthly. I’ll keep links to these new items posted in my sidebar, but the trend seems to be that we will offering seasonal sets or bundles almost monthly and new single stamps every two or three months. The current batch of single stamps is about to expire and I am hoping we will see some new ones around the first of April. This is a fun little card using the Easy Events set. I paired the love birds with the sentiment from the the tree image. I am thinking about cutting the sentiments away from the images on this set to make it even more versatile. Cheery fun!

Take it to Heart

OK, I think I am finally at the point where I can at least manage my recent health issues. In a nutshell, my sensitivity to perfume has grown so extreme that it has to be “managed”. Planning two hours ahead for a run to the post office or grocery store is a stretch for me, but the alternative really cramps my stamping regimen. Needless to say, I find the creative process impossible  when it feels like my head is being used for target and batting practice, simultaneously!

Speaking of changes, it is time for a new mini catalog and Saleabration begins a week from today! Saleabration runs from January 24 to March 31st this year and there are some wonderful FREE products to choose from. I’ll do a separate blog post with all the details this weekend and if you like free stuff, you will definitely want to check back!

Take it to Heart

As usual, Stampin’ Up!  has filled the new Occasions Mini Catalog with exciting new products and wonderful stamp sets. I adore this set called, Take it to Heart. It works for valentines day and beyond and the banner stamp is one of my favorite things from the catalog! I’ll be using this with a lot of my other sets! I love, love, love the ruffled ribbon that I used to frame the image, so pretty. I love the new embossing folders for embossing the edges or just part of your card stock. I was already cutting my folders down to get this effect, but I must admit that is was always a little painful to make that first cut!
