Halloween Bash and Tuesday Specials!

It’s starting to feel like Halloween! I know, most people don’t get excited about chilly, rainy days; but I adore them! Perfect. Halloween. Weather.

Halloweenbash

In honor of this lovely weather (yes, lovely), I have a spooky card for you. I thought these devilishly, eerie bats were the perfect starting point and all they really needed was some fabulous word art to finish the theme. I get to spend the day creating more creepy delights for you. LOVE! Before I go, I wanted to remind you that today is Tuesday so check out the new weekly specials below……

Wonderfall

Wonderfall

I really like how this turned out.  I love that fall weather is finally here and this card  reminds me of a walk outside. I frayed the burlap ribbon to give it a wispier feel.

I used a Variegated stamping technique to get the multicolored look on the leaf. The leaf stamp was inked up in Crushed Curry, and then Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler were added with sponge daubers before stamping the image on Very Vanilla card stock. The rhinestones were colored with Sharpie markers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Best of Halloween Flip Card

Halloween flip card

Here is a Spooky flip card that I made using the new Circle Card Thinlets, a die that cuts and scores this fun fold! To get the DSP to line up nicely, I just used the thinlet to cut it. Then I trimmed it down to fit the card. The image is stamped on a white circle and then sponged to add the color. I cut the bats from an image in the Halloween Bash set.

World Card Making Day

Best of Halloween

Today is World Card Making day. I hope you get a chance to stamp today! If you do, be sure and snap a picture of your card and send it to Stampin’ Up! to be entered to win a prize

There are two ways to enter:

  • E-mail a photo of a card, or of you making a card, made with Stampin’ Up! product on World Cardmaking Day to wcmd2013@stampinup.com.
  • Post a photo of a card, or of you making a card, made with Stampin’ Up! product on World Cardmaking Day on Instagram. Mention us by typing @stampinup and use the hashtag #wcmd2013 in the description.

I am getting addicted to the Washi Tape! They are just fun to play with and mix and match. I really love how they make it easy to “fill in” anywhere your design “needs something”.  For a smaller image like this, they are the perfect background. I handcut the little bats from another image in the Halloween Bash set. I love the little bat image and have used it on several projects. The tombstone background is a Windows framelit piece that has 3 of the sides cut down.

I am hoping to change over to my new theme this weekend, so I’ll have several posts coming over the next couple of days! Today’s Thankful Thursday special is Washi Tape

129314 Gingham Garden  $3.71 (regular price 4.95)

I am also announcing a Mystery Hostess event for the month. See the details below.

another thank you1

This card is done with the new photopolymer set called Another Thank You. I embossed the thank you image and then stamped the leaves. I trimmed the edges of the burlap ribbon to give it a different look. I also used some of the trimmed strands to  add to the wispy fall look.

Another Thank You

I finished off the bow with an antique brad and held the leaves in place with little copper safety pins. Bring on the fall weather!

Mystery Hostess Event!

Thankful Thursdays is a great reason to kick off a Mystery Hostess event using the new Hostess code! You can place orders in the online store and link to a particular workshop. Your order placed in the online store will ship immediately, but the workshop can be held open all month. You could take advantage of each Thursday’s special and possibly earn Hostess rewards for the event as well! Each time you place an order this month you will entered in the drawing for the hostess rewards. This workshop will also be eligible for the extra hostess benefits!
It is really easy to order in the online store.

Here is the Hostess code for this event

GJGTYCGT

Enter this code when you place your order in My Online Store. There is a hostess code box at the bottom of the page to enter it.There is a minimum shipping charge in the online store. You can still place orders by email, but I won’t be able to add them to this particular Mystery Hostess event because of the one day specials and I would have to hold the order till the end of the month. If you have any trouble ordering in the online store, just call me and I’ll help you through it.

Good luck on being the next Mystery Hostess!

New Thinlet “Flip Card” Dies!

I had a fabulous time at StampFest and then Convention the following week. Such a good time in fact that it has taken me a couple of weeks to catch up and recuperate! There is so much Stampin’ News to share with you, I don’t know where to start, but here goes.

The Holiday Catalog went live today! (Yesterday, really but my blog servers were down for hours) There are some fabulous products in there. My favorites are the framelits that cut perfect liners for our envelopes, the This N That Christmas organizer, muslin gift bags and other gift packaging, lots of shine and shimmer, the banner kits (so much fun!), and so, so much more! Here is a link for you to see it for yourself.

Stampin’ Up announced some amazing new products at convention. The next two items are available now. The first are these fun new Thinlet dies that cut and score a flip fold card for you. I am so excited about these, because I have been asking for this exact kind of die and they come with several additional framelits for decorating the card. I’ll just show you this video, the samples are gorgeous and so much fun!

You HAVE to go see what people are making with our new Undefined Kit! This is a kit that allows you to carve a stamp of your own design. Get inspired here!

Undefined

Of course there is more. We have a wonderful tool coming that will allow you to quickly create your own envelopes in 60 different sizes and on August 9th several new attachments and blades that turn our already fab paper trimmer into a rotary trimmer as well!

I think that’s enough excitement for one day. I’ll be back tomorrow with a card for you!

StampFest Kits

StampFest Kits

StampFest

These are the projects for the kits I am offering this year. I am changing things up a little. I designed the cards so that you could easily change images or framelits or even the designer paper and get a completely different look.  So I am offering these projects with some options so that will allow you to personalize your cards and hopefully meet a wide range of needs for attendees.

With each kit, you have the option of choosing a different Designer series paper pattern to suit your personal style. Each Kit will include a .pdf file with instructions for all 8 projects. (I will have printed copies on hand for you)

Option one: Create one of each of the 8 items shown and receive project instructions as well as cutting dimensions for each project. Kit cost is $22.50

Option two: Create 4 of each card design and 1 of each 3D project and receive project instructions as well as cutting dimensions for each project. Kit cost is $33.50

Option three: A complete Product pack that will allow you to create AT LEAST 4 of each card design and 1 of each 3D project. You will also receive all of the ribbon, brads etc that you would need to create those. In addition you will receive project instructions as well as cutting dimensions for each project. This kit is NOT PRECUT, but you will have full product packs that coordinate and you will be able to create additional projects with your leftover product. This kit also gives you the most freedom to change the projects to fit your own stamping style. Kit cost is $43.50 (if you want me to precut the projects from your product add $5 to the cost of the kit and specify which projects you would like cut)

Kit includes a full pack of of each of the following

  • Designer Series paper of your choice (specialty DSP will be $2 more)
  • Coordinating Card stock assortment
  • Coordinating Candy Dots
  • Lace Doilies

Plus, the ribbon, brads, embellishments, etc to complete 20 cards and 3 additional projects.

I will also have many of the pre-cut leftover cards from recent stamp camps that you can choose from. These cards will be priced at $1 per card.

Stamp a stack pricing is as follows and the card choices are in the previous post. Each stack is 5 cards of one design. Your first stack is $7.50 and each stack after that is $5.00 or you may stamp 5 stacks for $25.00. You may also choose to stamp one of each design for $10.00.

I also have someone interested in doing scrapbook pages so I will be adding 2 2 page spreads and those will be $10 each (I’ll add them here before Saturday)

I will need to have your card/kit choices by Saturday so I can order additional items if I need them. I will have adhesive on hand if you need to purchase some for the event. I will be placing an order this weekend if you need any additional items before StampFest. (it will be expedited, so we will have it in time!)
