Wonderfall Thoughts

Wonderfall

This is a card that we made for stamp camp last year that I never posted. We used a lot of tools for this one as you can tell from the supply list! It wasn’t a difficult card though, just stamping, sponging and die cutting. The die we used wasn’t a framelit, but rather a bigz die. The stamps are made to work with  the die; so the easiest way to use them together is to cut the card stock first, and then lay the diecut on the inked stamp with it facing image up. Then rub from the back of the paper.

Wonderfall and Thankful Thursday

I have a fun card for you today but first, more specials! On Tuesday Stampin’ Up! rolled out a weekly special. They didn’t give an end date for now. Every Tuesday they will be adding sale items to my online store and those specials are good for the week or until supplies run out. That is in addition to the Thankful Thursday special that they will announce on the blog each week during October. Don’t forget that when you take advantage of these specials, if you use the code GJGTYCGT you will be entered into the drawing for the Mystery Hostess Event.

Thankful Thursday

The following DSP packs are on sale, TODAY ONLY. Sale price $8.21 (reg $10.95).

Wonderfall

Wonderfall

I really like how this turned out.  I love that fall weather is finally here and this card  reminds me of a walk outside. I frayed the burlap ribbon to give it a wispier feel.

I used a Variegated stamping technique to get the multicolored look on the leaf. The leaf stamp was inked up in Crushed Curry, and then Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler were added with sponge daubers before stamping the image on Very Vanilla card stock. The rhinestones were colored with Sharpie markers.
