Button Buddies

button buddies

This is a card that we made at Stamp Camp last Thursday. It is simple and sweet and uses the Button Buddies set. Love the cherries from that set! The ribbon is from one of the simply sent kits and is retired. I am super excited that we will be offering stitched grosgrain in the new catalog, though! The 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon will now have a line of straight stitching through the center. Love it!

Speaking of the new Catalog, as you can see it goes live in a little over two weeks! My copies to hand out arrive today and I will start delivering them tomorrow. Let me know if you would like to have one! You can receive one Free with a $25 retirement purchase between now and the end of May. I’ll go into a little more detail about the new catalog program and new catalog pricing tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas House Gift Set

Before I give you the details on today’s project, I wanted to tell you that Stampin Up! has packed the Clearance Rack with some amazing deals. Old style punches (and some new) at 40% off and other products  up to 80% off! Go check it out!

12 gifts of Christmas

This is the first project in my 12 gifts of Christmas series. This first gift is a set of all occasion cards, packaged in a Christmas house box! The cards are quick and easy designs and the the box is made by scoring a few lines with the Simply Scored Scoring tool and decorating.

If you look closely, you can see a few sneak peek items from the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog. We have some wonderful new goodies in this one! The embossed hearts come from a new set of embossing folders which includes 3 smaller folders. I cut down embossing folders to get this effect in the past, so I was thrilled to see these in the new mini catalog. The embossed edge on the wave of the baby card is also part of this set. I used the scallop upside down for this card. The blue DSP is cut using a new product called Edgelits! These are dies that cut a decorative edge and they coordinate with the Adorning Accents embossing folders. LOVE!

Stocking Builder Rudolph

Stocking Builder

Isn’t this clever? I saw this little Rudolph on our demonstrator sharing site, made by Sharon George. So cute! It is done using the Stocking Builder punch. I added it to a candy holder made with the Two Tags die. The tags are embossed using the new Snow Burst Textured Impressions embossing folder. Fun, Fun!

Petal Cone Santa

petal cone santa

Isn’t this a fun little Santa ornament? I used the petal cone die  for the ornament base and then punched the pieces for his head. I just folded the flaps in on this one, but if you wanted to fill it with candy; you could add a square of card stock to the bottom to seal it better. I have seen similar Santas done using a box pattern, but the die made this quick and easy!

Holiday Planner

Holiday Planner

 Holiday Planner

This is a fun little planner that I made to organize the information I’ll need for all of my holiday plans. Actually I use Microsoft One note to sort things out and then I’ll print things off and have a nifty little pocket organizer to carry them around with me, while I shop.

I used a regular school folder and cut it down so that it would be better sized to fit in my purse. I only had white ones on hand and so this paper from last years catalog worked best for what I had in mind. The folder is one of those simple class folders (no brads) that are available at back to school time for just pennies each. I cut about 4 inches off the top and then folded the back and front in half vertically. This gave me 4 pockets in an accordion fold.

Christmas Planner

I glued the two center pockets together from the back to make a center page rather than an accordion fold.

Organized Christmas

I  covered the front and insides with cut designer paper and stamped simple images to decorate each section. I didn’t have any red embossing powder and I wanted my titles to be opaque so I decided to cut them out with my Cricut machine. I thought it would be quick and easy. NOT! Gluing all of those skinny individual letters took forever!

I used the last pocket for a receipt envelope. Of course, when the envelope is overflowing, there is more room in the pocket for extras.

planner

I covered two pieces of chipboard with DSP and included some note pages and then bound it all together and added ribbon and a stamped image to decorate. This will be a fun little place to keep lists of all kinds. Wish lists, shopping lists, menus, party needs, Christmas card list.

Decorating was quick and easy. Lots of punched pieces and a few cut out images.

Cello Topper

Spotlight on Christmas

I wanted to make a quick post with a little more detail on the Big Shot.

This cello topper was made using the Top Note Bigs Die.

Very quick little project using the Spotlight on Christmas set and the 5 petal flower punch. The designer paper is trimmed around the perforated edge to make a nice layer.  The flower petals are edged with a gold pen. I wish I had some neat chocolates for the cello bag, but had to settle for york peppermint patties. The good stuff keeps disappearing ……………

Big Shot

This is the Big Shot die cutting machine. The dies roll through the machine which puts pressure on them to cut or emboss the paper.

Big Shot

You will use a die, paper, and cutting mats layered together to form a “sandwich”. Different dies require different sandwich configurations, depending on how thick it is.

Big Shot

This is the pillowbox die after it comes through the machine. Some dies have score or perforation lines.

You can view the dies that are available in the back of the Mini Holiday Catalog by clicking on the link on the right.

Happy Stampin’
