Warmest of Wishes

warmest of wishes

This is a fun little treat that we made at stamp camp this month. Remember when we used to have to print a box pattern onto card stock, cut it out, score it with a stylus and then glue or tape it together to assemble? I do. I must admit that I am hopelessly spoiled by my Big Shot with all the adorable little box dies we have to choose from. It’s so easy to roll a piece of card stock through the Big shot and then just fold the box together. Those neat little treats for the holidays are so much quicker and easier to make now!

I used several sets for this little goody. The adorable little owl is from a hostess set being offered in the new Holiday Mini catalog. The limb is from a darling new set called out on a limb. You are going to want this one, it has several scene elements that can be used for many other things (clouds, moon, limb, sweet witch, broom and more). The little candies have belly bands that have been stamped with It’s a Wrap Holidays, also from the new mini. Four little Hershey Treasures fit perfectly in this little match box.

Thanks for looking!

Gently Falling

gently falling

Good Morning! Storms last week left me without power for a couple of days, which threw me behind on everything. I did manage to get a little stamping by flashlight done, but that was out of absolute necessity! Even with the power outages, we were thrilled to see the rain here. The cooler temperatures, though still in the 90’s, were a boost to our spirits. With everyone longing for fall weather, I thought this would be the perfect card to share today.

I haven’t stamped with a two set stamp set in a while and I have to say after using this one, I may be hooked again! I stamped the outline image, and then filled in with the background stamp. Instant coloring!  Two step stamping suits a leaf set so well, because you can add additional colors to the stamp using a sponge dauber. Love the quick and easy stamping.

I think this spice cake paper is my favorite from the new Holiday mini. The touch of blue adds a beautiful pop to the fall colors. I noticed this color combination all over the place when I was shopping the other day. I bought a shirt that matches beautifully. I feel a scrapbook page coming on…

Happy Stampin!

Harvest or Thanksgiving Blessing Mix

This is another project we did for stamp camp this month. We used the little brown paper bags from the Holiday mini catalog to present a gift of Harvest Blessing Mix. We have done this with a cello bag and topper in the past, but the harvest mix was the first thing I thought of when I saw these little bags! This is also called Thanksgiving Blessing Mix.
Harvest Blessing Mix
We stamped a quick tag using the new Decorative Label punch and sponged a couple of leaves from the Autumn Splendor set. The blessing mix ingredient list was printed off on the computer and attached to the back of the bag. You can find the printout with the recipe for the mix and the ingredient label here.

Enjoy!

Harvest Home

I made this card for a challenge over on a new challenge blog that is just starting up called SUO Challenges. There are a ton of challenge blogs out there and they are designed to get your creativity flowing. When you challenge yourself in ways outside of your normal style or comfort zones, you will be amazed at how your confidence in designing your own cards will flourish. I have played along with challenges before, but this is the first time I have actually posted to a challenge blog. Usually, I start a card, but before I can finish it the deadline has passed! This is a new design blog and I recognize and admire many of the design team members. The challenge is to make a fall card. That was easy since I am in fall mode right now!

Thanks for stopping by!
