Four Seasons

Four Seasons

Here is a quick and easy card that we made for stamp camp this month. For those of you who may be wondering, yes I own other ink pads! I promise I will force myself out of this Baja Breeze/Daffodil Yellow mode. I just love this stamp set. It is a hostess set. We have some really great hostess sets, this catalog season. LOVE them all!

Speaking of ink pads…..OH MY! When Stampin’ Up! announced that they had reconfigured the ink pads, I thought, “Oh, that’s nice, but I don’t see the need to replace the colors I already own”. THEN, I received my new In Colors and I was completely blown away by the difference in these pads!! It only takes a couple of light taps to get amazing coverage and a perfect sharp and vivid image every time. They are juicy and wonderful and still have all of the other great functions of our retired pads. So then I thought, OK, I’ll replace them slowly. Then demo math got the best of me and with the great Hostess incentive going on right now, I have replaced half of my pads. I waited 3 weeks, it SEEMED like a lifetime, anyway. All that to say…..You are going to LOVE the new firm foam pads!!!!

I created this card to show what great coverage and images you get with the new foam pads! It is so easy to get a great image with these. The coverage on the stamp is amazing with just a tap or two and they stamp beautifully every time. I really love them. You can see how nicely they stamp up in the photo. Vivid, crisp, even images .  What you can’t see is the true color of these new In Colors. They are showing up too orangy here. They have a lot more raspberry color in person. The darker color is very close to the Pomegranate color we had a couple of years back and the Primrose Petals is a nice raspberry pink. I like them both. Tomorrow I’ll post a color comparison and try to get some better lighting.

It’s always kind of hard to pull together cards when we get our first sneak peek order from the new catalog, because we get 5 new colors, but we can’t always get the matching DSP or ribbon or other embellishments. So I was a little limited here with coordinating embellishments, but it turned out OK, I guess. I DO love this new Hostess set, Four Seasons. Love, Love, LOVE the Hostess sets this catalog!
