Pinwheel Card

I have a fun little Birthday card for you today. I love the little die that cuts these pinwheels, they are so easy to put together. This, the Cloudy Day embossing folder and the Wishes Your Way set that I used on this card are three of my must have things from the Spring Catalog that is about to expire. These sayings will work for so many images that I have in my collection.

Secret Garden

Secret Garden

I have been wanting to make a floral card using the Perfectly Preserved jar image since I got the set. This card was inspired by one I skimmed past on pinterest a while back, I don’t know who to credit, but the design has been haunting me. I have to admit that I burned myself out on flower cards and haven’t played with any of my floral sets in quite some time, but I thought I would give Secret Garden a shot. I love several of the flowers in the set and the fact that it has a matching Framelit set for cutting them out was all it took to convince me. I am officially falling in love with floral cards again!

I had to stamp the jar on acetate…..also something that I have thinking about for a while. The Perfectly Preserved set is still available by the way, at least until the Spring Catalog expires. I just love the white flowers against the Crumb Cake! The sentiment stamp is from the new catalog and is called Label Love. There is a matching punch….so even more to love!

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, Whale!

Oh Whale

I shall be so sad when these In Colors retire! I am hoping they get a reprieve in a color update. I think I need to start a campaign to save Pool Party and Calypso Coral at least. Oh, and Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo. Sigh.

Anyway, how cute is this little set? Oh Whale. So perfect for spring and summer cards. We made this card for Stamp Camp last month, the sentiment is from Wishes Your Way, which works for the new little pinwheel die, but I think it works well with this set too. I used a bunch of other cool new tools as well. The anchors are from a matching Clearlit Sizzlet called Happy Whale. The button is from the free Sale-a-bration set of ribbons and buttons. I used the Large Scallop Edgelit to make the waves, and I can’t forget the adorable new Cloudy Day embossing folder. Fun stuff!!

Happy Stampin’

Pleasant Poppies

This is one of the cards we will be doing at a Hostess Stamp Camp on Friday. Now that I have played with Dyan’s set, I must have it for my own! This is Pleasant Poppies. I just stamped the image and added a little color to the center of a few of the flowers. Fast and Fun!

Thanks for looking!

For the Birds

For the Birds

It took me a while to warm up to Daffodil Delight. It’s a happy yellow that isn’t as glaring as the old YoYo Yellow. I think it was my absolute aversion to the old neon yellow that kept me from embracing our more contemporary offering. Now that I have, I just can’t leave it alone!  Then again, maybe I am just in a cheery, summery mood. I have a feeling that is about to change, with all of the Holiday Catalog goodies I have to play with now. For today though, it is sunny, summer fun with this card using the For the Birds stamp set.

Happy Stampin!

Storybook Friends

Storybook friends

Meet my favorite new product suite in this catalog! I love this Storybook Friends set and the matching Storytime DSP. It’s so cute, sweet and nostalgic! Lots of new products on this card. I am so glad I finally got to play with some of my new stuff. The new Polka Dot Parade makes me joyful! I will be using every scrap of this stuff.

Don’t you just love the lacy little red border at the bottom? This is done with some really fun new tools. I used the Delicate Designs folders to make the lace border and then I cut the scallop at the bottom with the Large Scallop Edgelit. Then, last but not least, I LOVE the new Delicate Doilies Sizzlet die! The catalog lists the largest doily at 1 3/8″ Diameter, but as you can see it is 3 3/8″. I will be using these little darlings a LOT!

Thanks for stopping by!
