A Little Something

I know. Bad blogger. Bad. Blogger. I have no excuse. Just a confession. I have fallen madly in love and just couldn't tear myself away from my new dearest. No need to tell my husband. He is smitten as well. Meet Pyper Eden. She insists on being held all the time and I am happy to oblige her. Being a Nana is the best thing in the whole world. pyper Since mommy is able to drive and back on her feet, I guess it is time to get back into a routine and stop neglecting all of my other duties. I have a few things to share, even though it is very difficult for me to get into creative mode with so many things to distract me. Since I haven't taken any photo's yet, I'll share some "extra" projects that haven't made it to the blog yet. Hearts a Flutter This is a lollipop cover. I'll try to put together a tutorial for these with the dimensions. They are really easy. I will probably make some version of these for Aubrey's school party this year. Quick and fun. I used the Hearts A Flutter set and framelit for this one and the More Amore from last years Spring Catalog. As luck would have it, this paper is now on the clearance rack and very inexpensive! There are some really great prints in this pack and some fun laser cut heart doilies. You can check it out at the link below. Thanks for stopping by!

Perfect Blend Gift Box

perfect blend I have a quick and easy gift option for you today, but first a little news. Stampin' Up! has added a lot of new items to the Clearance rack. Go check it out and grab some of the fabulous deals. There are a lot of Christmas related items that have retired, including some great sets, punches, framelits and dies from last years Holiday Catalog! Click the link below to see them. I used our Tag a Bag gift boxes to hold some Keurig K cups and candies, and slipped in a Starbucks gift card to make the perfect gift for my favorite coffee enthusiasts. You can substitute whatever works in the coffee maker of choice for a great gift for co-workers or teachers. Both of my daughters are crazy for Coffee and Rocket Brothers Iced coffees so they are getting these in their stockings. Of course, the Perfect Blend set had to be included in the mix! I stamped the image 3 times. Once each on Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock and then again on the dsp. I cut parts out and paper-pieced the cup and popped it up on the tag from the Chalk Talk framelits. I love that tag, because it slips over ribbon so nicely! Thanks for stopping by today!!

Perfect Blend

Perfect Blend Here is one of the cards that we will be making for stamp camp tomorrow. Love this new Perfect Blend set and the Coastal Cabana paper! The paper is from the Afternoon Picnic DSP pack. I was a little bummed that they carried the design over from the Spring Catalog (Tea for Two) but changed up the colors. I am crazy for Calypso coral, but not really a purple and blue or teal fan. When I opened the new pack though, I was surprised at how much I liked the combo. Those colors are just beautiful together! I drew in the "coffee rings" with a marker using the new circle framelits as a guide. The splatter stamp is from one of the My Paper Pumpkin kits. I hope you make it to camp tomorrow to grab your new catalog!! Thanks for stopping by!

Faux Chalk From My Heart

From My Heart Here is another card that I made using the Faux Chalk technique. I embossed the images from the Creative Elements and From My Heart sets in white EP and then drew in some lines and highlights with a white watercolor pencil. I finished it off by sponging on some "chalk smudges" using Whisper White craft ink. I think the doily trim sets it off nicely. Thanks for stopping by today!

Chalk Talk

Chalk Talk The new Annual Catalog is officially live and full of wonderful new things. The Chalk Talk set is one of my favorites! I am kind of hooked on this technique (Faux Chalk) so it is wonderful to have some images that make it quick and easy! The fussiest part of this card is the bow. I just sponged some "chalk" on Basic Black card stock. You could use chalk if you have it, but I prefer our Whisper White craft pad and a sponge. I stamped and cut out the image (Black StazOn on Whisper white). There are framelits for this set! Next, I sponged a doily with tea stain and added an embossed border. The vanilla flowers have been smushed  into the primrose petal pad to add some color (yes, smushed is the technical term). Love how this one turned out. I hope you get to stamp today!
