World Card Making Day

World Card Making Day is Saturday, October the 2nd! This special celebration first began 5 years ago, when Papercrafts magazine organized a special card making day for their subscribers. Word quickly spread though, and with the help of the internet the celebration soon had spread world wide. Observed the first Saturday of October, it kicks off the holiday card-making season, the most popular time for creating and sharing handmade greetings.

World Card Making day celebrates the creativity of handmade cards and the personal connection that they create between friends and family. I hope you get to stamp at least one card this Saturday!

I am giving away a free set in honor of the day! To win, just leave a comment on my blog at Stampinbuzz.com on Saturday, October the 2nd and tell me what you are doing to celebrate the day, even if it’s just gathering inspiration for your holiday projects.

I’ll have a couple of fun challenges to inspire you and if you do get a chance to stamp some cards, send me a photo. Email it to me at Belinda@stampinpad.com I would love to share them on my blog next week! If you do share a card (that you stamped on Saturday), I’ll give you two extra chances to win the free set!

  1. I didn’t know about this! World Card making day–so cool! On Friday I’m having a little stamping/card-making gathering, so on Saturday I’ll be pondering the ideas I get from that, and playing with a way to incorporate fabrics. Should be fun!
