Wicked Cool

I started to make a Halloween card with my sneak peek stuff, but I hadn’t used this set from the new catalog yet and it was calling my name. I love Fall and Halloween and everything spooky and scary and pumpkinny about it!

I have such fond memories of Halloweens past, as a child. There were 5 girls in my family and Mom would help us make our own costumes and then my Dad would always take us through the neighborhood to trick or treat. It was fun to scare each other at the houses that were decorated with webs and lights, witches and skeletons and dark halls to venture down, except we were never really scared because Daddy was always there to save us. There is an indescribable fullness in my heart when the first wisps of chilly air hit my face each fall and these memories come flooding back. It is always the first thing I think of and I guess it is why these spooky little images make me so happy!

This set is called Wicked Cool and paired with the Wicked Fun DSP it is just that! I embossed the bats on Cajun Craze card stock and then layered on the rest. The fun scallop and rickrack border are cut with a new XL Bigz die from the Holiday mini. You will see these a lot! I am in love with this new tool and the best part is that the borders are long enough for 12 x 12 pages!
