Winners!

Hi Everyone! Sorry to be late posting today, I had some stamping business that took me out of town and I had no internet access! Can you imagine? Nothing like a long drive in the Oklahoma countryside to help blow the cobwebs out of your head though, so I am hoping the lovely drive kicks my creative mojo into high gear and I get some crazy stamping done tonight!

So are you ready for the winners to be announced? Here we go…….

Another Wedding

So, I needed a wedding gift for another niece,  and after seeing these cute little bride and groom hearts on a Stampin up demonstrator site; I thought, how perfect for my little cupcakes!

Washcloth Cupcakes

Here is the card that I made to go along with the gift. Very quick card, but the paper makes it look so special.

Heart of Hearts embosslit

And a little tag to go along with another gift. I am loving these little embosslits which emboss and cut at the same time. They add so much to a project, but are so quick and easy.  Since I needed to put this all together in a hurry, quick and easy was exactly what I needed!

This was another card from stamp camp. This design layout is my new favorite. It works well for a quick and simple card, but also looks good with more detail and embellishment.  This card sports the gorgeous new Marina Mist card stock. I love it! It looks yummy with so many of our current colors.

Artistic Etchings

I edited this post to get your attention! Read on for details on how to win a FREE catalog.
This is a card we made for Stamp Camp this month, it uses a set from the new catalog called Artistic Etchings. It has some wonderful elements and I can’t wait to play with it some more.

Speaking of the new catalog, I am giving away a little blog candy today. Leave a comment on this post mentioning what you are most excited to see in the new catalog, for a chance to win a FREE COPY as soon as they arrive. I’ll close the drawing on Friday at midnight, CST and announce a winner on Saturday. It is easy to leave a comment, just scroll below my signature and click on the link that shows the number of comments made. Good Luck!

There is still  time to order retiring sets and accessories and don’t forget to check out those products that are 25-50% off! Here is a list of the items that I think make great additions to your stampin’ stuff! I call these my Don’t Miss Picks and these items are not just my favorites, but things that I think are a great value and are those type of items that you will come back to again and again for years to come.

So here we go……You can view these sets by clicking on the last chance link in the sidebar. Click on last chance and then whatever sub category you would like to view. I like to load all the items for easier viewing.

Two items on the 25% off list are the Tea Party and Rich Razzleberry papers and although some of the colors in these offerings are retiring, they will still work wonderfully with colors that are not retiring. I love both of these sets and find myself coming back to them often, so go grab some while it’s on sale and before it’s all gone!

Think Happy Thoughts is a set that I am going to grab before it is gone. It is one that I know I will use again and again. The sayings in a circle format are perfect to use with the circle punches. I use my happy birthday stamp from another set, all the time and these will be a great addition to my stamp library.

Four Square and Only Ovals are two more great sets for the same reasons. A layered punched sentiment can be just the right element on a card.

Enjoy Every Moment and Certified are two great sets for scrapbooking. Both sets have elements you will go to over and over again.

Some of my personal style favorites that I hate to see leave, but will always be in my library are Bloomin Beautiful and Ever After,  both just lovely images that stand on their own and need little other embellishment on the card. Embrace Life is a great versatile floral, it has an Asian feel, but takes on the flavor of several other styles depending on what you pair it with.

Holy Triptych is just about one of the most beautiful Nativity/Christmas sets we have ever had. It’s a must have for your Christmas sets.

The Write Stuff is a great DSP pack for scrapbookers, you get all of those wonderful journaling pieces and some really versatile papers to go along with them.

If you are a Chocolate Chip fan, go scarf up a few accessories in that color. Most of our accessories will be in a select group of colors now and the new expresso color is the brown of choice.

There is so much more to love, but these are just a few of my favorite things, grab your favorites before they are gone for good!

Washcloth Cupcakes

This project has no stamping, but it is such a fun and easy way to spruce up a gift, that I had to share. One of the items that I gave my nephew and his new bride for their wedding was a cake plate with a dome. My friend, Laurie McClary had shown me an adorable cupcake made using wash cloths and packaged up in a cello bag. I got to thinking that our Perfect Settings XL Bigz Die would make quick work of these little cuties! Since I saw that first cupcake, I have seen them decorated in a lot of different ways with all kinds of fun little gifts tucked in.

I cut out the cupcake wrap and then used the Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit to cut the little heart. The DSP is from the Spring Mini Catalog. I rolled up the Wash Cloths and arranged them in the cupcake wrap, which was closed at the back using sticky tape.

I was wondering if it looked enough like a cupcake when my 18 month old grandbaby toddled up and said “mmmmm, I’n bite”. Which translated means, “Hey! That looks like a cupcake!” So, I filled up the cake plate and sealed it up in some cello wrap and tied it up with a ribbon. Fun, Fun!
