Count Down To Christmas!

Are you ready to count down to Christmas? I vowed to get more projects on my wish list finished this year. I am trying to get organized early and break it down into smaller tasks, so things don’t get left to the last minute.

The first thing to do is  organize ideas and make a few lists. You can start with a simple list on your computer or make a fun little notebook like this one to help keep track of things. Of course you will want to decorate it to get in a festive mood!

This is one of our On Board Journals. The nice thing about them is that you can add pages if needed, by using the Spiral punch. I’ll be showing another neat holiday planner next week so stay tuned for that.

If you too, did your own rendition of Scarlett’s “As God is my Witness” speech last year and want to play along, then your task for the next few days is to start jotting down what projects you would like to do for the upcoming holidays. Even if you just want to make cards, planning ahead is the key to getting them mailed out early rather than at the last minute.

Start by deciding how many cards you need. If you attend Stamp A Stack, chances are you will stell need  more than 25 cards. Make your  Christmas card list and begin deciding on what stamps you will use and what additional supplies like paper and ribbon you may need. You will want to have your supplies on hand early, so that you can break the tasks down into small weekly tasks. This makes the job less overwhelming and  it doesn’t seem like such a chore (because you tried to stamp them all in one 24 hour period, and yes I speak from experience!) So you should be thinking about ordering and shopping for supplies now as it could take a week or two to decide on what you want to do and get things gathered up.

As you make your card list,  you may want to start gathering all of your addresses together in the same place. If you put them all in your planning journal, you will have them in one spot and be ahead of the game next year!
