Just Buzzin’ By!
We are finally seeing some sunshine today, so I thought I would post this cheery card! It uses the Just Buzzin’ By set from the current catalog.
Speaking of catalogs………
As crazy as it seems, It is almost time for a new catalog! Here is a little information on the next catalog and details on how to make this fun little card follow.
The next Catalog and Idea Book will be available July 1st! That means we will be seeing a retiring list for the current catalog on June 1st (just two weeks away!). Check back here for the list. If you are thinking that new catalogs have been coming so fast it makes your head spin, you may enjoy the news that we are going back to one larger yearly catalog and three mini catalogs per year. I haven’t gotten details yet, but I am assuming that the minis will be a little larger and that we will unveil new products and accessories as well as great new stamps with each mini catalog. I can’t wait to see the new catalog! We should be getting a little sneak peak next month as well, so stay tuned for fun news! I’ll post here as I get information.
Today’s card was one of this months stamp camp projects. The fun beehive background was made using a piece of bubble wrap! This technique is very simple, but produces a fun and unique pattern. Simply lay out a piece of bubble wrap and ink it up as if it were a background stamp. Lay the bubbles facing up, then swipe and pat your ink pad across it until it is well inked. I like to use a large area, as sometimes a cell may be deflated and I can place my cardstock accordingly. Place your cardstock on the bubble wrap, just like you would a background stamp. I like to lay a scrap piece of cardstock over it and then use a brayer to make sure I get a nice, even imprint.
We used the Oval Scallop Frame Bigz die to cut the frame. The images were stamped on Whisper White card stock and then the frame was layered over it. Some images were cut out and popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cardstock colors are Basic Black and Whisper White. Ink colors are Black Staz-On, Summer Sun, Barely Banana, More Mustard, Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip.
