This card makes me smile, I really love this set. I am kind of all over the map in the way that I design cards, especially lately. I usually start from an inspirational point and go from there, whether it is a design layout, or a color combination, a particular paper or set or technique. I started with the paper this time. I adore this Everyday Enchantment paper from the Saleabration collection. I will be very sad when I run out! I loved these two pieces together, so I decided on the layout and then went in search of the set to go with it. I ran across my retired Pedaling Past set and that was that. I really like the way it turned out, it reminds me of summers past. I keep hearing that Country Time lemonade music in my head when I look at it!

As you can see from the countdown clock in my sidebar, it is only 2 weeks till the new Annual Catalog goes live!  There are so many fun new stamps and tools and I think you will love the new streamlined style of the catalog.

The catalog is a little smaller and Stampin Up has made them much less expensive for us to purchase (and less expensive for you too!) So I am changing up the way I handle the catalog a little bit. I am excited to announce that this year I will be able to offer them free with a $25 purchase (one per customer) or for those who just want to purchase a catalog with no order, the catalog price will be $5. You will still get one free when you host a workshop. I’ll also be doing some random giveaways if you would like to earn one free that way. Also, for any customer who purchases at least $50 from me over this catalog year, you will earn next years catalog free as well, and will be able to pick it up as soon as they begin arriving next year. I love that this new system will allow me to give free catalogs to my current customers as we go forward. As always, owning the catalog will insure that you will receive the Holiday and Spring catalogs. These will be much larger than the previous mini catalogs, so they will have many more seasonal products in them and they will be current for a full 5 months. More time to get your favorite goodies!

Apothecary Art

I used a lot of different sets on this card. I really like the way many of our vintage sets work together, it makes it fairly easy to put together a collage type card. I started with the Parlor Prints background stamped in Crumb cake on Crumb cake card stock. Then I randomly stamped Established Elegance images in Soft Suede. They were placed so they would show behind the focal piece. I stamped and cut out the Apothecary Art image and added a layer of soft suede card stock which I cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits. Finally, I added a couple of strips of designer paper and did some distressing and sponging. These are really simple techniques, but combined with these beautiful images, it’s easy to get that vintage look. I am stocking up on this Beau Chateau paper, it’s a favorite and I hate to see it retire!

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to start out by apologizing for not posting very often lately. I have just been in a rut. When you feel bad it is hard to get enthusiastic about anything, even things that you love and are passionate about. The real problem for me is that I really have never had many health issues and certainly nothing that kept me feeling under the weather for weeks at a time, so it has taken me a while to quit telling myself that maybe I’ll feel great tomorrow and just get on with dealing with the fact that I probably won’t.  Don’t get me wrong, in general I feel so much better than I did at the first of the year. So this is my official, yucky days or not, I am moving on post. Maybe claiming it officially here, will make it so. My goal is to post 3-5 times per week, so we shall see! Thank you so much for your patience and continuing to visit my blog!

button buddies

This is a card that we made at Stamp Camp last Thursday. It is simple and sweet and uses the Button Buddies set. Love the cherries from that set! The ribbon is from one of the simply sent kits and is retired. I am super excited that we will be offering stitched grosgrain in the new catalog, though! The 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon will now have a line of straight stitching through the center. Love it!

Speaking of the new Catalog, as you can see it goes live in a little over two weeks! My copies to hand out arrive today and I will start delivering them tomorrow. Let me know if you would like to have one! You can receive one Free with a $25 retirement purchase between now and the end of May. I’ll go into a little more detail about the new catalog program and new catalog pricing tomorrow.

punch art

This is a cute little punch art lamb that we made for Stamp Camp a while back. I made a tutorial for it and a punch art chick. Enjoy!

Punch art lamb

These are the punched pieces you will need for the lamb.

punch art lamb

Cut the oval, circle and word window pieces in half as shown.

punch art lamb

Attach the oval half to the scallop circle as shown. Make the ears by attaching the two

half circles. Add the word window pieces to the back of the circle to make the lambs legs.

punch art lamb

Add the 3 flowers for the wooly hair on her head and the two 1/8 inch circles for eyes.

The final touches are the pink flower and pearl and pupils, drawn in with a Basic Black marker.

punch art chick

Make an adorable chick with the punched pieces shown.

punch art chick

The little hearts from the owl builder punch make cute little chickie feet! Add the hearts

for wings and the blossom flower for comb. You could leave off the flower and add a bow

for a little girl chickie. :)

punch art chick

Fold the square in half to make the beak. I just cut a 5/8 card stock strip to make the

square for the beak.  Add the circles for the eyes as shown to finish. I decided not to

add the tiny white circles for the eyes but you can add them if you want your chick to

be looking a certain direction!

retired list

Good morning everyone! The retired accessories list is out and there are some real surprises! Don’t panic when you see it! It is huge! We are retiring a couple of product lines (Decor Elements and Simply Adorned) and we are reconfiguring quite a few products. Many of the products on this list are at a discount, so grab what you need as soon as possible, because they are gone as they sell out. Stamps will still be available until May 31st.

So here is a little scoop about some of the products being reconfigured for the new catalog!! Our ink pads are being reconfigured! They will have a new foam pad, rather than the linen pad. I have heard from demonstrators who have gotten to play with them and they say, “You will LOVE them”! They give a nicer, bold image with very little effort (just a tap on the ink pad). I can’t wait to get my hands on them! They are in the same case, so they will still fit your current storage. They also come with a nice new label for the front of the pad, which I love.

Look for a single asterisk for all of the products that will still be available, but in a reconfigured package or style. Other things being reconfigured are our paper cutter, heat tool and package configurations for 12×12 card stock. Many colors will only be found in the assortment packs. So if you have some favorite colors you may want to check and stock up on those.

As always, you can call or email with an order or head on over to my online store to pick up those must have items before they are gone for good (and get some great deals while you are at it!)

Beautiful Wings

This is a card we made for Stamp Camp last month, using the Fresh Vintage Saleabration set. Very easy! We stamped our background piece in Night of Navy ink and then added the butterflies and sentiment. I have been stuck on these white on white cards lately, but I can’t help it, I am kind of hooked!

The Retired List is out and that means we are saying goodbye to some of our favorite sets. The list is pretty big this year, due to the changes in our catalog program. We will be releasing the new catalog on June 1st!! I can hardly believe it is that time. That is a month earlier than in previous years. The new catalog will be about 40 pages smaller, but the seasonal catalogs will be much larger. They will be 8 1/2 x 11 and will have more pages. There will only be a Holiday and Occasions mini catalog now, we will no longer have a Summer Mini Catalog. We will also be discontinuing our Decor Elements and Simply Adorned lines so that will make more room in the yearly catalog.

Check over the Retired List and get your must have sets, before they are gone for good! We will be releasing the Retiring Accessories list on April 25th. I did notice that all of the sweet treat cups sets were retiring, so if you want those, I would stock up now. When the accessories go, they go quickly and we cannot get more of those items.

Hello! These are the cards that we will be stamping for our Stamp a Stack this week. I originally had others chosen, but since Saleabration is over, I decided to switch up the designs. Please let me know how many stacks of which design you would like to stamp on Thursday! Please note that there will be alternate sentiments available for all of the cards and the last card will have several other image options. The background papers may also vary, depending on what I have on hand.

We will be starting at 6:00 PM on Thursday (April 12) at the Bixby Community Center. Please RSVP if you plan to attend. You may stamp one of each design for $10.00.  If you would like to stamp multiples of these designs, each stack is 5 cards of one design. The first stack is $7.50 and each stack after that is $5.00 or you may stamp 5 stacks for $25.00. Be sure to bring your own adhesive!

Contact me to RSVP!  Hope to see you there!
